This is the original Cover Painting that was created for the acclaimed 1982 Atlantis calendar. Fourteen images in total, were created by the Brothers Hildebrandt, depicting their fantastic and creative view of the fabled lost continent of Atlantis.
This cover alone embodies the fantasy environment of the Hildebrandts’ epic world of Atlantis. Heavily detailed and filled with intricate textures, the Brothers Hildebrandt bring their fantasy to life! The deep blue background contrasted by the explosive volcano adds action and a sense of danger to the characters on the main cover. That appears to be the least of their worries as they face a reptilian monster whose tail slithers, snakes, and traps our hero’s fate! Will they survive will they live to tell the tail of an epic battle in Atlantis?
The main character Naran fights along side Kaleha the jungle warrior to combat the sea creature.
